Ukraine’s climate is continental. Winters are typically cold and snowy while summers are hot and dry. The mean temperature in July is 24 degrees centigrade. In January, it is cool with the temperature falling below 0-degree centigrade.
In Ukrainian foods such as carrots, salmon, beets, onions, garlic, cucumbers, legumes (beans, peas, and Carpathian villages-beans) other vegetables play an important role. A typical Ukrainian diet includes potatoes, pasta, various types of kasha (porridge), fish, cheeses, and sausages.
