Maulana Azad rank closed at 89 : AIIMS Delhi was first choice of NEET Topper students, 2 top 50 students left AIIMS

The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) on Friday announced the results of round-1 under the NEET (UG) -2020 admission process by a day's delay. About 400 students from Shekhawati also managed to make a place in 15% of All India seats. Many students also received AIIMS. This time the choice of students has changed completely. Topper students made AIIMS Delhi the first choice. While Maulana Azad Medical College New Delhi was chosen as the second choice.

It is also interesting to note that the student, who took the eighth rank in Topper-50, opted for JIPMER Pondicherry leaving AIIMS Delhi. Similarly, the 43 ranked student chose BJ Medical College Pune. There were already predictions that this year the cut off of Maulana Azad and AIIMS Delhi will go to 700+. The same results came out in the first round.

AIIMS New Delhi General category students got up to 51st rank. While Maulana Azad Medical College started at 53rd rank and closed at 89th rank. Experts say that in the second round this year, students can get a government medical college in All India up to the rank of 16 thousand.

In the first round, up to 12348 students of general category got medical college

What was the most different this time in the first round? 

This time due to the high cut-off, in the first round only 12348 students of General category got Government Medical College. Whereas in the second round last year, 12611th rank students were able to get a medical college. PCP Director Dr. Piyush Sunda says that this has also happened due to joining AIIMS and increasing seats. 

  1. What rule has been changed this time? 

Till last year it was a rule that reporting was to be done in the first round. Then he could join the second round, but this year it will not happen. Gurukrupa director Rajesh Kulhari said that from this year if a student has got a college and is not happy then he can leave the college and join the second round directly. 

  1. When to report to first-round students?

NEET Experts said that the students had applied for MBBS and BDS courses in 15% seats of All India quota, Central University, AIIMS, JIPMER, ESIC and AFMC and those who have been allotted college, 6 in the respective college You can report online between 12 November. 

4. What documents are needed for verification?

In the colleges allotted on the basis of Round 1 counseling, students will have to report for document verification. For documents verification, 10th and 12th mark sheet and certificate, identity card, birth certificate, category certificate, 6 photographs of passport size, NEET Admit Card, NEET Rank Card and Provisional Allotment Letter will have to be taken together. After document verification, the course fee will have to be submitted.
