Kyrgyz cuisine is based on meat and dairy products. This possibly is because of their typical nomadic lifestyle. They prefer more mouton, pork, horsemeat, beef, goat meat, and yak meat than any other meat, and eat wild game-like ular (a form of mountain turkey).
